Chinese Watercolor of Climbers Above the Clouds

An original watercolor by an unidentified Chinese artist. This rectangular landscape on paper features two small figures, one seated, with large packs, resting on an outcropping above a mountain path. They are looking down upon the surrounding cloud cover to the left. The faint silhouette of mountain tops in the distant suggests this is only a brief rest on their climb. There are two black Chinese characters and a red stamp to the lower right corner. This work is presented with a blue linen mat, behind glass in a black painted wooden frame, wired for hanging.

Condition

-some slight buckling underneath the glass; wear to the frame, including paint loss to the top right corner and white smudges.
