Item Details
A collection of 18 pages with 16 hand-colored avian engravings from an unknown 19th-century publication of Oeuvres Complètes de Buffon. Each print was engraved by Fournier and pulled by R. Taneur after paintings by Traviès. Each print has the birds identified in plate along with the names of the contributing artists. Presented as loose works without frames or matting.
Condition
- to fair; pencil markings to the front lower right corner; some foxing; pages yellowing; edgewear; some color fading.
