An original oil painting on canvas board by Milan, Indiana artist Alice Carey Whitlatch (1876-1965). The artist, known by friends and neighbors as Grandma Whitlatch, took up painting at the age of 78. From the years 1954-1965, she created thousands of paintings for her fans, sometimes making over 800 per year. This circa 1960s piece depicts a pastoral farm landscape on a sunny day with cows grazing next to a small pond and lush vegetation in the foreground, while a barn and silo can be seen in the distance. The unsigned and unframed painting includes a newspaper clipping with information about the artist taped to the verso.

- to Fair; item is unframed; an exposed nail is present on board; edge wear to board; fading and discoloration to center of painting with age.
