An oil painting on canvas board of a landscape by listed artist Wilbur David Peat (1898-1966). Born in Chengtu, China, Peat became an established American artist known for his paintings of Midwestern landscapes and architecture. This painting depicts a wooden path winding along a dune that leads down to a lake on a sunny autumn day. The artist’s signature is seen to the lower right corner. This painting is presented in a gilt wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.

- minor stains and wear to frame; paper backing missing; small scratch to lower left corner.
