A watercolor painting on paper by Milton Weiler (1910 – 1974), titled Graying Trout. This painting on watercolor paper depicts the titular fish in a pair, one of which attempts to eat an insect floating underwater in the green current. An artist signature is seen to the bottom right corner of the composition. The painting is presented underneath UV glass behind a double mat of maroon and black in a stained resin frame with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- small chips to frame; glass could benefit from cleaning; paper backing to frame ripped.
