Gorham "Strasbourg" and Webster Sterling Candle Snuffers

A pairing of sterling candle snuffers. This includes one by the Gorham Manufacturing Company of Providence, RI in the Strasbourg pattern. It features a dome-shaped head with a stem and a hollow handle with scroll patterns, and is engraved, ‘Gorham Sterling’. The other snuffer features a tiered knob finial with a dome head, a twirled stem, and a knob ring and paneled handle; the handle is engraved, ‘Webster Sterling’ with a maker’s mark of an arrow pierced ‘W’, for the Webster Company of North Attleboro, MA. The approximate weight of the Webster snuffer is 0.66 ozt. The Gorham snuffer was not weighed due to weighted materials.
