A vintage Roberta di Camerino leather snake clutch. This black leather bag features a flap front with gold-tone metal, snake-shaped hinged clasp, and a gold-tone metal, snake-shaped handle to the top. The interior is lined in black leather featuring a slip pocket to the front and open pockets, with “Made in Italy by ‘Roberta’ di Camerino” stamped in gold foil, and includes original hand mirror. Roberta di Camerino was started by Giuliana Coen Camerino in post-WWII Italy, 1945, and developed a cult following thanks to celebrity fans such as Coco Chanel, Grace Kelly, and Elizabeth Taylor.
