Robert Fabe Original Signed Watercolor Painting

An original signed watercolor painting by Robert Fabe (1917-2004), a celebrated regional artist from the Cincinnati region. Fabe studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy, as well as the Art Students League of New York. He was a respected Professor of Art in DAAP at the University of Cincinnati for nearly three decades. The painting features a grouping of fishermen coming back to shore after a day’s work. The sky and active movement of the water evoke an incoming storm. The piece is ink signed by the artist in the bottom right margin. The painting has a light grey mat and is housed behind plexiglass in a dark wood composite frame with a wire for hanging to the verso.
