A limited edition abstract embossed etching by Brazilian artist and printmaker Arthur Luiz Piza (b.1928) best known for pushing the limitations of printmaking by discovering new ways to add dimension and texture through his etching and aquatint techniques. This work depicts a large red embossed abstract shape to the center over a rectilinear shape with black stippling all on a gray washed ground. It is numbered 38/50 to the lower right and signed to the lower left, both in pencil and below the image. The work is presented in a silver tone metal frame, cream mat, and under glass with wire for hanging to verso.
