Antique Wooden Pharmacy Mortar And Pestle On Stand
Item Details
An early 20th century walnut pharmaceutical mortar on stand, designed in two pieces with a shallow bowl separate from the stand which is made from one piece of wood with reeded sides and scalloped edge. The top of the stand is notched to hold the bowl in place. The base has a nicely turned center post and square base with mitered corners. The bottom of the base is notched to fit into a square opening in the floor.
Condition
- for age, the bowl has cracks, has wear to the finish.
