A signed limited edition mixed media etching titled Proscinemi, Delphi, 1979 by listed British pop artist Joe Tilson (b.1928) best known for his sculptures, paintings, and prints featuring very intriguing designs, often with bright, vibrant color palettes. This print includes the processes of soft-ground etching, aquatint, mezzotint, and photolithography along with mixed media collage elements in a neutral palette on paper with gold tone metal grommets to the corners. It is numbered 26/30 in pencil below the image to the right corner and signed by the artist with the date 1979 in pencil below the image to the left corner. It is also marked by an embossed ‘K’ to the lower right corner. This work is presented mounted in a silver tone metal frame, cream mat, and under plexiglass with wire to verso for hanging.
