Item Details

A limited edition Japanese sōsaku-hanga woodblock print titled Rehearsal (おさらい, Osarai) by Kawakami Kureshirō (川上暮四郎, b. 1901-?). This woodblock work depicts a Japanese woman sitting playing a shamisen, a Japanese three-stringed musical instrument. In the lower margin, the work is titled, dated (77), numbered (72 in an edition of 100), and signed by the artist. It is presented behind light gray mat behind glass in a black coated wood frame.
