An original 2011 oil painting on board by contemporary American artist and scientist Tom Lohre (Cincinnati; 20th/21st century), titled Emerald Isle. The image depicts a palm tree blowing in the ocean breeze on the North Carolinian island seashore. Artist signature is signed in red paint to the lower left. The painting is mounted in a wood frame with cast molding and a bright gold leaf finish. Aditional information about this painting and the artist are attached to the verso. Lohre claims to be the first to have ever painted a spaceship from life; he also painted the eruption of Mt. Saint Helens from life. This innovative painting is presented in a seamless gilt frame.
