After Pablo Picasso Lithograph "The Bull (Le Taureau), State IV"
Item Details
A lithograph on paper after an original 1945 lithograph by highly regarded Spanish artist Pablo Picasso (1881-1973). The image, titled The Bull (Le Taureau), State IV originates from a series of stone Bull lithographs illustrating Picasso’s process of deconstructing an image from its literal to abstract form. The print depicts a standing bull in side profile, with lines that emphasize the animal’s mass and skeletal form. The piece is signed in plate to the lower left. The print is double-matted in red and black and presented under glass in a metal frame with wire to the back for hanging. The frame includes a ‘Drew Gallery’ framer’s sticker to the backing.
