B. Goad Oil on Canvas of a Marshy Reflective Pool

An oil painting on canvas by B. Goad. This depicts a still, marshy reflective pool that is framed by a wall of trees, with weeping branches heavy with Spanish moss arching over the water and the vibrant yellow undergrowth. A small patch of blue sky is visible at the top and reflected below. It is signed in the bottom right corner ‘B. Goad’ however no clear artist attribution could be made. This work is presented in a burnished gold tone painted wooden frame with gesso ornamentation, wired for hanging.
Condition
- some surface wear including scratches to the frame; canvas is discolored on verso; paint surface shows craquelure throughout; some overall surface dirt.
