T. Bailey Oil on Canvas Painting of a Clipper Ship
Item Details
An oil painting on canvas by Massachusetts artist T. Bailey. This depicts a square-rigged ship, with sails furled, cresting dark waves, below a clouding sky. It is signed in the bottom right corner ‘T. Bailey’ however no clear artist attribution could be made. This work is presented in a gold tone painted wooden frame, wired for hanging.
Condition
- poor; image is buckle and wavy, dirty and stained; abrasions along bottom and right edges; finish to frame is peeling; molding separating at top corners,; molding is cracked at top left corner.
