A. Austin Original Oil Painting of Ships at Sea
Item Details
An original oil painting on canvas of ships at sea by A. Austin, dated 1900. This piece depicts two sailboats traveling through the rushing ocean with drybrush details. The painting is signed by hand in paint to the lower right corner and is mounted in a gold tone wood frame with hanging wire present to verso.
Condition
- repaired tear to canvas to left side above the smaller ship; small amount of inpainting to upper left; craquelure to surface; stretcher marks; yellowing to varnish; chipped paint and scratches to dust covered frame.
