Arnie Weimer Limited Edition Etching with Embossing "Love Birds"
Item Details
An etching on white paper with embossed accents by Alaskan artist Arnie Weimer. The piece, titled Love Birds, depicts imagery from the ‘Eagle and Raven’ traditions of the Alaskan Tlingit indigenous populations. The piece features embossed traditional Tlingit Eagle and Raven designs throughout, with a small horizontal etching in blue to the bottom. The etching depicts an indigenous village by the sea, accented by the moon shining over the water. The piece is signed in graphite to the lower right and hand-numbered 21/150 to the lower left. The piece is additionally titled in graphite to the lower center with Eagle and Raven designations to either side. The print is presented under glass in a dark brown wooden frame with wire to the back for hanging. The frame backing includes a framer’s sticker, as well as a sheet with information about the artist, work and artistic process.
