Hand-Knotted Persian Area Rug

A hand-knotted Persian area rug. The piece features a central medallion powder blue, red, cream, and black that sit on top of a deep red field. There is a spandrel to each corner in powder blue with a field populated by floral guls, lancet lines and diamond medallions in a matching palette. The field is enclosed in a compound resolved border that features a floral guard border and showcases a turtle border to the primary border with a short, cotton fringe to either end. The rug is not marked.
