A fifty piece Easterling sterling silver flatware service. Easterling was a company created to market sterling silver for Gorham. The pattern Horizon was made in 1944. The set consists of eight dinner forks, seven salad forks, five bouillon spoons, seventeen teaspoons, a ladle, seven knives with stainless steel handles, a flat handle butter knife and four tablespoons. There are factory marks on the reverse. The total approximate weight is 48.79 ozt excluding the pieces with stainless steel blades.
