Lee Tsatoke Native American Gouache Painting on Heavyweight Paper
Item Details
An original gouache painting by Kiowa artist Lee Tsatoke (1929- 1985). This painting depicts a Native American woman wrapped in a red blanket holding a feather headdress standing on a hill looking into the distance. The painting is signed to the lower right. It is presented behind a white mat. Lee Tsatoke, noted Kiowa artist, son of Monroe Tsatoke, was named Tsa To Kee (Hunting Horse).
Condition
- kept in a protective wrapper, the wrapper is ripped on corners so those exposed corners are bent, back of the piece is exposed, handwritten notes on verso, the mat has marks.
