Antique Victorian Walnut Chest of Drawers

Item Details

A Victorian chest of drawers. This tall walnut piece with curved and reeded top rail sits on a rectangular top with beveled edge above a single drawer with slight overhang to the rest of the piece. The burled mahogany veneer drawer fronts includes two drawers stacked beside a hat cupboard above three additional drawers. The dovetail constructed drawers feature ornate pierced brass hinged pulls and embossed brass escutcheons with original brass locks and one key present. The side trim to the front is reeded and the curved apron features a carved scroll motif terminating on casters. There are no visible maker’s marks or labels on this piece.
