Paul Sawyier Prints "Confluence of the Dix River with the Kentucky River" and "Up the Hill of the Old Louisville Road"

A pairing of limited edition offset lithograph prints after Kentucky artist Paul Sawyier (1865-1917). Confluence of the Dix River with the Kentucky River depicts a tranquil view with water in the foreground and green covered hillsides in the background, completed in an impressionistic style. Up the Hill of the Old Louisville Road features a snow covered scene with a building on the right side, a distant horse and rider in the center, and a wooden fence running along the left side. Each print is numbered 251 at top and copyrighted 1971 by the Kentucky Historical Society. They include a protective folder with information about Sawyier printed in the interior.
Condition
Consistent with age. Some bends, wear and surface marks along the prints’ edges, notably on Confluence which has a small tear on the right hand side.
