A signed limited edition engraving titled Prowling by Richard Volpe (American, 1926 – Present). The artwork depicts a vertical black and white image of a striding cat. The title of the artwork is written in pencil at the lower left corner, followed by the number 194/200 and the artist’s signature. The piece is presented with a white mat in a thin black metal frame. A certificate of authenticity and additional information about the artist is affixed to the verso. The frame is wired for hanging.

Richard Volpe is an accomplished American printmaker, painter, playwright, and actor. The primary subjects of his etched works are animals and landscapes. He has presented over twenty-five one man exhibitions, and his works are held in the collections of the University of Delaware, the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art and the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
