An original Tuska (1931-1998) clay sculpture John Sherman Cooper Variation I. The Kentucky based artist was an educator at the University of Kentucky. Tuska was commissioned to create a bronze bust of John Sherman Cooper for display in the Kentucky state capital and this piece was created prior to the final version. The piece is signed in the clay with the title and the date 1985.

Condition

The piece shows some wear and cracking
