Julian Stanczak Limited Edition Serigraph "Blue Cutout Fold"

A color lithograph by well listed Ohio artist Julian Stanczak (Poland/United States, b. 1928) titled Blue Cutout Fold. The image shows a blue geometric shape with black vertical lines. The image gets a 3-dimensional effect by varying the density of the black lines. It is signed in the lower right margin and numbered ‘92/165’ in the lower left with additional embossed stamps in the lower corners of the paper. It is not matted and is presented under plexiglass in a thin silver tone frame.

Stanczak was born in Poland but settled in Cleveland, Ohio after time in the Polish army, Uganda, and England. The Op Art movement was named after his first exhibition “Optical Paintings”. His work includes repeated geometrical forms in bright and muted colors. He taught at both the Art Academy of Cincinnati and Cleveland Institute of Art.

some scrapes to the frame and minor scratches to the plexiglass. not examined outside the frame.
