An original maritime oil painting on stretched canvas Signed ‘T. Smith’ and dated 1906 in the lower left corner. The small painting depicts masted ships on choppy water with stormy skies, it is presented in an antique gold frame with a tiny beaded inner edge. Several old paper labels remain affixed to the back reading ‘Pierce & Company Pictures and Framing, Springfield, Ohio’ and ‘Kurtz, Langbein & Swartz, Pittsburg Artist’s Materials’.

Condition

The oil painting is dirty and would benefit from being cleaned.
