An original Tuska ceramic bas-relief sculpture. The piece depicts a figure posed seated with legs crossed and arms resting on the floor to either side of the knees. The piece is signed by Tuska to the bottom right in the clay with the date 1972 below. Parts of the figure feature raised details while the rest is made from minimal lines. Tuska often used one model for many pieces, and this piece was inspired by a model named Elliot. An internationally acclaimed artist, Tuska is known for his painterly depictions of nudes via sculptures, paintings, and reliefs and are highly sought after. His work expresses the influence of the late Impressionist movement of French artist Rodin.
