Two Vintage Collotypes after Antique Aquatint Etchings of New York
Item Details
A pair of framed vintage collotype reproductions of original aquatint etchings depicting New York. The first is titled New York from the Heights Near Brooklyn and is after an original watercolor illustration by listed Irish-American artist William Guy Wall (1792 – 1864). The second is titled New York from Weehawk. and is after an image etched by an artist named L. Hill. Both prints have titles and publishing information for the originals printed to their lower edges. They are both presented behind black and gold tone eglosime matting and are presented behind glass in wooden frames with gold tone finishes and hanging wires.
Condition
- prints have yellowing and discoloration across. Scratching and cracking across frames.
