Two Vintage John Chatillon & Sons Hanging Brass Weight Scales
Item Details
A pair vintage hanging brass weight scales. The larger round dial scale has a 100 pound capacity and is marked in 1/4 pound increments with numerals every five pounds. Center of the face is marked ‘John Chatillon & Sons’ encircling the top half of the dial arm perimeter. Scale has a heavy metal construction box with ring to the top for hanging and a hook to the bottom for weighting. The smaller bar scale has a similar construction with a brass plate face marked ‘John Chatillon & Sons Makers New York U.S.A.’ and ‘Not Legal for Use in Trade’ the weight scale is a slide bar marked in one pound increments with numerals every five pounds having a 50 pound capacity.
Condition
Used. Old, having minor markings to surfaces throughout. Accuracy of scales is not guaranteed.
