Antique Chas G Schenck Copper Cream Milk Bucket, 1898
Item Details
An antique Chas G Schenck copper cream milk bucket dated 1898. This large can feathers a round straight sided barrel body with tapered top cover and asymmetrical open flared neck design. The bottom rim of the can is banded in brass and there is a strap handle attached to the back that accompanies the top wood handled metal wire bucket handle for easy pouring. Two brass labels are affixed to the can lid, one with the number ‘2’ and the other identifying the maker as ‘Chas G Schenck’ in Columbus, Ohio and reading ‘Patented Nov. 8, 1898’.
