A hand-knotted Kerman prayer rug rug made of silk and cotton. This prayer rug features a classic vase design with a scalloped mihrab at the top and a field filled with flowers and palmettes leading to a large vase at the lower end. The palette is peach, cream, cerulean, and black. The rug has compound borders including a main border of meandering florets and leaves over black. Unmarked, it has overcast edges and cotton warp fringe at either end.
