A traditional Indian woman’s attire called a mekhela chador. The Indian ensemble is the traditional Assamese dress that features a long top, usually tucked into the skirt or bottoms, and a long scarf draped across the body and over the shoulder, tucked into the back of the lower garment. This ensemble is decorated in very intricated gold colored beadwork along the entirety of the scarf, the hem of the skirt, and the sleeves of the top. The collection was handmade and features a hook closure to the top and a drawstring closure on the skirt.
