A watercolor painting on paper of a view through a window by listed Ohio artist Robert Herrmann (1922 – 1996), created in 1970. The painting depicts an interior window with yellow curtains, looking out to an outdoor view with tropical trees. The painting is signed with the artist’s initials and dated to the lower right. Presented in white matting and wrapped in acetate.

Herrmann acquired his formal artistic and architectural training at the University of Cincinnati, University of Wisconsin, Ohio State University, University of Iowa, and Columbia University. While professionally trained, he chose to never exhibit his work publicly, making his first solo exhibit posthumous.
