A watercolor painting on paper titled Blue Sky by listed Ohio artist Robert Herrmann (1922 – 1996). The painting depicts an angular building with dark windows under a blue sky. The work is unsigned by the artist. The artist is noted in pencil to the verso. Presented in white matting and wrapped in acetate.

Herrmann acquired his formal artistic and architectural training at the University of Cincinnati, University of Wisconsin, Ohio State University, University of Iowa, and Columbia University. While professionally trained, he chose to never exhibit his work publicly, making his first solo exhibit posthumous. He is known for his precisionist style and his paintings of architectural landscapes.
