An original watercolor on paper by listed Ohio artist Robert Herrmann (1922 – 1996). The painting depicts the angular exterior of a building in a warm palette with a sliver of intense blue sky at the left side of the composition. The watercolor is signed to the lower right, presented in white matting and wrapped in acetate.
Robert Herrmann acquired his formal artistic and architectural training at the University of Cincinnati, University of Wisconsin, Ohio State University, University of Iowa, and Columbia University. While professionally trained, he chose to never exhibit his work publicly, making his first solo exhibit posthumous.
