A 2002 colored pencil on paper drawing by Nelson Cifuentes. This work, in blue, depicts a woman, slightly bent forward with eyes closed, drinking from a cup in her lifted right hand. This work is mounted with a double mat in cream and white, that reads in pencil ‘Greenwich Village, NY, Summer 2002’ along the bottom and ‘Nelson Cifuentes’ up the right edge. The work is presented under acrylic glass, in a black painted wooden frame with carved ornamentation. The location of the subject is drawn as a map on the backing board.

Condition

- frame is scratched, paint on frame is peeling, frame is beginning to separate at corners, mat is acid burned, artwork is loose in frame, handwritten map on verso. (ARTIAS)
