An early 20th century school master’s slant top desk in walnut with a nicely carved frieze at the apron and the block and turned legs. The subtly slanted desk has a gallery at the top with a hinged lid that lifts to reveal open storage over a deep apron having one drawer with a lock and key. The carved frieze illustrates urns and a delicate foliate pattern on a stippled background.
