Small Prints of 19th Century Men

Item Details

A pair of small prints. One depicting an early 19th century man, with a labeled hat that reads ‘vote [illegible]’, standing in a bent knee position on a street. The other depicts a young ‘gentleman farmer’ standing before a section of fence, leaning upon his rake. No discernible signature could be found. These works are presented with colorful double mats, under glass, in ornate gold tone wooden frames with foliate corners. Sawtooth hardware is attached on verso.

Condition

- frames have been intentionally distressed; one frame corner is separating;

7.0" W x 8.0" H x 1.25" D

- measurement of one frame; both are of a similar size; the visible image of the blue matted print is 2.0" W x 4.0" H; the visible image of the pink matted print is 1.25" W x 2.25" H.
