A 1960s newspaper collection featuring the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the Apollo 11 moon landing. Included are thirteen total newspapers ranging from 1963 to 1974. Several newspapers cover the assassination of President Kennedy including articles such as the Pittsburgh Press’ ‘God Forgive Us All,’ Dallas Prays As Flowers Wilt Where J.F.K. Died, the Valley Daily News’ Kennedy Buried in Arlington; World Figures Join Mourners, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Kennedy Is Slain, Johnson Sworn In, and more. Also included are two newspaper articles from the 1969 lunar landing, including the Valley Daily News’ Moon Walkers Splash Down Safely and Man’s On The Moon, Eagle Soars Into Lunar Orbit. Miscellaneous newspaper clippings are also included.
