A hand-knotted Persian Ahar style carpet runner. This runner features a central medallion of an eight-pointed flower in a palette of midnight blue, red, and tan over a field of geometric flower ornamentation with corners portraying flower boxes and lilies. The field is flanked by borders presented in a palette of navy blue, cobalt, red, cream and light green featuring rhodian, scrolls and flower motifs. Each end features cotton warp fringe; unmarked.

Condition

- some wear and discoloration on edges; fringe is beginning to fray; could benefit from cleaning.
