Item Details
A lithograph after a work titled Automedon And The Horses of Achilles by the artist Henri Regnault. The work depicts the titular person attempting to calm Achilles immortal horses Balius and Xanthos. The artist’s signature is signed in plate in the bottom right corner of the piece. The lithograph is held in a wooden frame that is obsidian in tone with charcoal tone matting with the title and a second signed in plate signature of the artist present below the lithograph. Marked ‘copyrighted 1883 by George Barrie.’ A wire hanger is present on the back of the frame.
