An oil painting on paper titled Private Dock at Albert’s House Cape Cod by listed artist Carolyn Zimmerman (Cincinnati, 1903-?), created in 1961. The painting depicts a bridge traveling from the left foreground over a body of water towards the green hills in the distance. Signed by the artist to the to the lower right corner and labeled in graphite to the verso. Presented in white matting and wrapped in acetate.

Carolyn Zimmerman was born in Walton, Indiana and became the wife of prominent Cincinnati artist Carl Zimmerman. She started her formal artistic training at the Cincinnati Art Academy and studied with French sculptor and painter Antoine Bourdelle as well as Madame Levy-Ginsborg in Paris. Zimmerman body of work primarily focuses on forested landscapes. Carolyn along with her husband Carl Zimmerman were members of the Cincinnati School of Painters.
