Item Details
An original antique early-20th century oil painting on canvas by an anonymous artist. The painting depicts a stunning formal still life painting comprised of fruit, gourds, twisting vines and wheat stalks, a bird’s nest with eggs, and a few curious bugs and insects. The still life glows dramatically against a dark night scene, seemingly nestled at the roots of a wide tree. The painting is unsigned. It is presented in an antique wooden frame with cast surface embellishments, bronze tone finish, and a hanging wire.
Condition
- a few small areas of inpainting to lower half of painting. Cracking and light loss of finish to frame.
