1939-1940 Cincinnati Reds Scrapbook

A 1939-1940 Cincinnati Reds hand-made scrapbook filled with newspaper clippings and articles. This scrapbook commemorates and honors the 1939 and 1940 Cincinnati Reds Championship teams. The original owner neatly printed ‘1939-1940’ in blue ink on the front cover. There is also a Cincinnati Reds team logo affixed to the front. All the Enquirer and Post newspaper clippings, articles, and photos have been glued down. Many of the players, such as Paul Derringer, Ernie Lombardi, Johnny Vander Meer, Bucky Walters, and others have pages honoring their accomplishments. There is a 1938 Reds team issued Ernie Lombardi card affixed to a page. There are approximately seventy pages in this scrapbook. Finally, there are other famous players such as Joe DiMaggio, presented in this publication.
Condition
Good-Fair. Pre-owned and hand-made. Chipping of outer pages, some soiling, and staining. All clippings are glued down. Creasing with edge and surface wear.
