A watercolor painting on paper titled Pond Near Milford by Cincinnati-based artist Carolyn Zimmerman (b. 1903). This painting features a pond surrounded by barren trees, portrayed with loose brushstrokes. It is signed to the lower right. Handwriting to the verso reads the artist, title, and medium of the work. Presented under white matting and wrapped in acetate.

Carolyn Zimmerman was born in Walton, Indiana and married prominent Cincinnati artist Carl Zimmerman. She started her formal artistic training at the Cincinnati Art Academy and studied with French sculptor and painter Antoine Bourdelle as well as Madame Levy-Ginsborg in Paris. Zimmerman body of work primarily focuses on forested landscapes. Carolyn along with her husband Carl Zimmerman were members of the Cincinnati School of Painters.
