A watercolor painting on paper of a verdant landscape by listed Ohio artist Robert Herrmann (1922 – 1996). The painting depicts an atmospheric landscape of trees and hills leading to a body of water in the distance. The work is unsigned by the artist. The artist is noted in pencil to the verso. Presented in white matting and wrapped in acetate.

Herrmann acquired his formal artistic and architectural training at the University of Cincinnati, University of Wisconsin, Ohio State University, University of Iowa, and Columbia University. While professionally trained, he chose to never exhibit his work publicly, making his first solo exhibit posthumous.
