John J. Audubon Offset Lithograph "Common American Deer"

An offset lithograph limited edition facsimile after John James Audubon titled Cervus Virginianus, Common American Deer. Fawn. The 1980s unframed print from Princeton Polychrome Press shows the spotted fawn in profile lying in a grassy area. The printing process utilized full-size photographic plate technology and the image was printed on acid free cotton rag paper. It is one of a set of twelve prints called the Southart-Parkway Edition selected from Audubon’s Viviparous Quadrupeds of North America. It is numbered in pencil 482/750 and embossed Southart-Parkway to the lower right. See related items 16AUS057-207 and 16AUS057-209.
