A wooden birdcage with supporting stand. The ornamental object is in the style of a grand city hall or cathedral, with columns, arches, domes, spires and a shingled roof. The cage is connected to the stand, which has a central drawer, and stands on four turned legs connected by two stretchers. A leaflet attached to the item is marked ‘Grand Architectural Mahogany Bird Cage on Stand, Italy, Early 20th Century’.
