A generous set of Johnson Brothers Ironstone China. This set is in the ‘Coaching Scenes’ pattern and includes five dinner plates, five dessert plates, five salad plates, six cups and saucers, one sugar bowl, six small bowls, and four large bowls. Each piece features a white ground with dark blue printed vignettes of horse coaches. The back of each piece is marked ‘Coaching Scenes, Made in England by Johnson Bros, A genuine hand engraving, all decoration under the glaze detergent & acid resisting colour.’ Some of the pieces feature slightly different maker’s marks to the back, indicating that different pieces were produced at different times.
Condition
- Some items have debris on them.
- Crackling on some items.
- 1 cup is discolored.
- Sugar bowl doesn’t have lid.
